In its effort to support nursing research and clinical practice efforts that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for children and their families, the NAPNAP Foundation strives to raise money and provide opportunities for academic advancement and research in the nursing community. The result is a series of Grants and Scholarships that we make available to NAPNAP members.
NAPNAP/Abbott Nutrition DNP Capstone Project Grant Program [Postmark Deadline: January 30, 2012] - Through the generosity of a grant from Abbott Nutrition, the NAPNAP Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of 6 (six) $1,000 DNP Capstone Project grants to DNP students to assist in their completion of their capstone project related to pediatric nutrition. NAPNAP Foundation Nursing Research Grant [Postmark Deadline: April 1, 2012] - The NAPNAP Foundation awards up to two (2) competitive grants annually to pediatric nurse practitioners conducting research to improve the health of children. Graduate Student Research Grant [Postmark Deadline: April 1, 2012] - The NAPNAP Foundation is pleased to offer a one-year grant to support research by graduate students currently enrolled in pediatric nurse practitioner programs. This grant is intended to encourage graduate students, who are current NAPNAP members, to participate in the research process and to stimulate interest in research regarding children and their families. Innovative Health Care Small Grant [Postmark Deadline: September 15, 2011] - The NAPNAP Foundation is pleased to offer the Innovative Health Care Small Grant designed to encourage NAPNAP members and chapters to develop and implement innovative, feasible, and cost-effective projects to improve the health of children. The intention of these projects includes: improve health services to underserved, at risk and vulnerable populations; enhance family education regarding the importance of health maintenance and primary, secondary and tertiary preventive care; and encourage nurse practitioners to pursue new mechanisms of health care delivery for children and families. McNeil Rural & Underserved Scholarship [Postmark Deadline: October 31, 2011] - Through the generous support of McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Inc., NAPNAP members can now apply for the McNeil Rural & Underserved Scholarship.
